SHRM Certification

The BHRA is proud to share that active members can now sit any SHRM certification exams in Bermuda. Members looking to obtain any SHRM designations can elect the Bermuda College as their testing facility. We are working with SHRM to see if they can offer us discount pricing for our members, but for now members must pay the standard rates on SHRM's website.

HRCI Certification

We’re excited about our partnership with HR Certification Institute® (HRCI), which offers HR professionals in Bermuda the opportunity to obtain a certification right from the comfort of home.

What’s involved?

Application Process

Once a year, our HRCI intake kicks off allowing BHRA members to sign up for any HRCI certification. We communicate the intake as it starts along with the deadline date. We have completed our 2025 intake, with the deadline being 15 August 2025. Our next intake will kick off 1 April 2026.

To determine which HR certification is right for you, visit HRCI's website. You can research which is the best exam and training material options for you. If you intend to support HR in Bermuda, you should consider the international and global certifications only, as they exclude US employment law. However if your role supports a US client base, or will in the future, you may want the certifications that include US employment law. 

Note that with HRCI, you can take the exam in the comforts of your own home (virtual) or at a physical location, the Bermuda College.

Active BHRA members are entitled to a discount on HRCI’s application and exam fees, yet another reason to join us today! Please note that the pricing rates may vary due to shipping and will be communicated once the intake process kicks off.
