The Contract of Employment – A Trap for the Unwary
HR Professionals have their employees routinely sign their company’s standard contracts of employment and throw them in the personnel file hopefully to be forgotten until next year, but do they really know the meaning and effect of what’s been agreed?
Join us at this event where employment law practitioners at Canterbury Law Limited will describe how seemingly standard words on a page can lead to real-life “nightmare” cases for litigants who signed on the dotted line without a second thought.
Practical tips will be shared as to how to avoid litigation and/or 6-figure settlements by getting your wording right the first time round.
We’ll also cover recent changes to the Employment Act 2000 and to the National Pension Scheme (Occupational Pensions) Act 1998.
